Demeris Bar-B-Q and Catering is owned and operated by the sons and nephews of founder Gus Demeris. Frankie and Yonny Demeris (Gus’s sons), George Demeris (son of Gus’ brother Nick) and Billy Vlahakos (son of Gus’ sister Georgia Demeris Vlahakos) form the management team that directs the operations of the two restaurants and the catering division.
All were educated in Texas universities, and a portion of their collective academic pedigree includes training at the prestigious Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston.
These seasoned professionals represent over a century of experience in the hospitality industry, gleaned from decades of shared operational duties while working side by side with their parents and each other. Today, these four husbands and fathers are continuing the Demeris family traditions of exceptional quality and uncompromised service.
The management team is assisted in these endeavors by a support staff that includes Gus’ son Jamie Demeris, as well as long-time employees Aurelio Bedolla, Gabino Corona, Ruben Gomez, Moyses Lopez, Alfredo Magana, Helen Mudd and Glen Wheeler.
